CSCS Health, Safety & Environment Test
Overview
To apply for a CSCS card, candidates must prove they have the competence to carry out their job safely. The type of card applied for depends on the experience, qualifications and the type of work.
Candidates can check the requirements for various jobs by visiting the occupations area on the CSCS website. There are exemptions as listed on the CSCS website.
As part of this process, candidates must also pass the Construction Skills, Health, Safety and Environment test again. The type of test required can be found on the CSCS website.
Who is this test aimed at?
All who work in the construction industry in all trades at all grades from trainee, to management and beyond.
What books will I need?
We strongly recommend that candidates undertake relevant study prior to undertaking the test. To facilitate this a range of suitable revision materials are available from bookshops and online.
What topics will it cover?
General Health, Safety and Environmental factors at work including Hazard Symbols, Risks and Hazard Identification, environmental knowledge and behavioural case studies.
Is there an exam?
The duration of the on-line test and level of questions depends on the selected test.
When will I know if I've passed?
You will be informed of the provisional results immediately, the results notification will be sent to you when processed.
Cost
£21.00 (plus an additional admin fee of £20+VAT)
Please note that from 18th June 2018 the price will increase from £19.50 to £21.00 per assessment.
